WHY WE ARE DOING THIS

During this time of social distancing, many kids camps have closed for the summer. We wanted to provide kids with a fun, camp-like experience and the support and prayer of a community of faith.

So we designed a Summer Session where kids have the opportunity to connect in three ways: First, they get sorted into an All Saints' Founder House- Hunt, Cooley, Waters and Pierce. They meet with their Youth Head of House once a week to talk and share stories of kindness- whether by helping someone or making them laugh- to earn House points at the Sunday All School Meeting.

Once sorted, they can select from fun classes that offer a once a week online session of 30 minutes. They will have weekly tasks they can work on at their own pace. The task might be to take a hike to find a hidden marker, or cook a recipe to eat- we have a lot of choices! Our goal is to use the technology to send them out to do fun and creative work away from the screen...

Finally we have a Sunday All School Meeting at 10am online for a 40 minute class. We will start with prayer, then hear funny School Announcements, listen to the House Stories and Teacher recommendations for house points, and share our gratitude. Our hope is that we can provide kids with a supportive and creative community to help make their summer fun!
